Alan Parkinson FLICKR Images

Do any other NING members have FLICKR accounts ? Here is a link to mine. You're welcome to use any pictures from my account: some relevant images for most of the 'AS' themes: not got many pictures of tsunamis and volcanoes though... If you have a Flickr account and don't mind others using your pictures, please post a link to your account on this thread. Continue

Check out the blog for some new stuff on Rebranding / Unequal Spaces in relation to Cornwall http://newedexcelgeography.blogspot.com/ Spent today looking through the OUP OxBox - nice resource with VLE functionality which could be good for the department next year... Also been putting various resources in green boxes ready to create some packs, and already got booklets for the 4 topics made up from GeographyReview articles from last 8 years or so... The company Urban Splash is one company that I'd like to try and get in touch with and visit some of their schemes which are in various locations around the UK. Continue

Richard Meadows The £800 million pound railway!

Just missed this on BBC 2, gutted!

A two part programme showing the behind the scenes decision making and changes to St Pancras station. Here is the Tv listings info from the BBC...

Kim Adams Rebranding and crowded coasts in one hit

My centre will be looking for study sites which meet the requirements of several AS module options at once- so this case study of a UK coastal sea side resort undergoing decline being regenerated mainly by its new artificial reef is perfect- and its near enough for our students to visit on fieldwork!

And there are many interested parties , some for- some against

Alan Parkinson Check List - Swap Shop !!

Have been exchanging a few e-mails with Simon and we reckon that one useful thing to have would be a check list of the new resources that need to be produced.
One alternative to that, which I have tried before in the past, is a SWAP SHOP...

Replies to this thread could take this format...

I WOULD LIKE.....

I CAN OFFER.....

People could then arrange swaps of resources...

What do people think ?

Oh, and the check list will come soon...
