Thanks for getting back. We are doing more detailed case studies, but the angle will still be "this is what you need to know to get a top grade" rather than a more 'immersive learning experience'.
You must have taught students for A-level Geography whom I taught at KS3 / GCSE, as we always had a few that went to Symonds' at 16.

I work for CGP, we're making an Edexcel Geog AS revision guide and we are looking for an author for part of the "Extreme Weather" unit - from your profile seems like you might have some expertise in this area!

PS Where are you teaching? - I used to be Head of Geography at Embley Park School near Romsey, before it became Hampshire Collegiate.
